Upcoming Developments
Dechen Chöling next big project is building a hotellerie – a new housing building - which will offer more privacy and comfort than the existing dorms. In the current plan there are going to be 25 two-person rooms, some with shower and toilet.

The centre is also planning on building a Stupa since a big donation for this came in last year. Furthermore the château needs to be renovated extensively.

In latter years DCL will build a new kitchen and dining hall. There are also plans for a new and bigger shop with a sun-terrace.

Supporting Dechen Chöling
Since the beginning, Dechen Chöling has survived through the tremendous generosity and participation of the European Shambhala community. As we move into the next stage of expansion – the Sakyong has asked the centre to turn the flower outward and reach new and more people - the continued support of the European and International Sangha will be as important as ever.

Dechen Chöling invites people to give in whatever way they can: on an ongoing basis, once a year, or by donating skills and time.

Ongoing Donors
A large number of people give a monthly donation to Dechen Chöling. These monthly donations are a long-term commitment, usually lasting for one to five years.

Through Special Donor Groups
Saddharma Group members give a one-time or monthly donation, equaling € 500 to € 2000, usually lasting for one to five years.  All funds raised through this group are split between DCL and Shambhala Europe.

Members of the European Donor Group (EDG)  give more than € 2000 per year. The EDG funds various projects in the European mandala, and specifically development projects at DCL.

One-time donations
One-time donations are for those people who wish to donate a specific sum of money.

Volunteering skills and time
Skills and time are also an important way people can contribute to Dechen Chöling. If you would like more information about volunteering at DCL, please visit the Living and Working section of this site.
