Dechen Chöling is the residential practice centre of the European Shambhala Buddhist community. The centre sits in a land of rolling meadows and magnificent old trees near Limoges, France. People from around the world come to learn and practice meditation, and to relax within the beauty of the land. Throughout the year, Dechen Chöling offers programmes ranging from basic meditation and contemplative arts to advanced Buddhist and Shambhala teachings taught by renowned teachers.

1-0 for Spain! The Dechen Chöling website translated in Spanish!

Not only Spain has won the European Championship in football last week, also the entire content of the Dechen Chöling website, including the registrationforms for programmes, is now available in Spanish! Thanks to initiator and translator Luz Rodriguez and Joop Laan, the Dechen Chöling communications officer. The project started 6 months ago, when Luz stated that Spanish speaking people need Dechen Chöling information in their own language. Since that time Luz and Joop have been working on this mission diligently and finalized their goal.

Enjoy Werma intensive in december

For people who received Rigden Abhisheka we have good news. The originally planned Werma intensive in July 2008 has been moved to December. The intensive will happen from December, 26 until January, 9 and will be lead by Acharya Pongrazc. This two week intensive enables you to fulfill half of the group practice requirements!
