How your donation helps

Below you’ll find a list that helps you see more clearly how your donation can be of benefit to Dechen Chöling. In general, we do need financial support for the maintenance of the buildings and land, the running operational costs like staff-salaries and investments in development and renovation. 

It is most helpful for us if we have the freedom to use your donation where we most need it. However, we also welcome support that is earmarked, as it also shows us what is important to our donors. Thank you very much for considering a donation.

For 5 Euro we can bake a cake for 25 people.

For 30 Euro we can buy a small gong.

For 50 Euro we can buy a meditation cushion.

For 100 Euro we can extend our organic garden with 5m²/54 feet.

For 200 Euro we can plant four new trees and maintain them.

 For 500 Euro we can insulate and replace 2,5 m²/21 feet of our old roof.

For 750 Euro we can make three comfortable outside benches to relax on and enjoy nature.

For 1.000 Euro we can hire a childcare person for two months (food, accommodation and stipend).

 For 6.000 Euro we can buy and install three sustainable, insulated windows in the Chateau.

 For 20.000 Euro we can pay the salary of a new employee to reinforce our small staff year round.

The essence of generosity is letting go. Pain is always a sign that we are holding on to something – usually ourselves. When we feel unhappy, when we feel inadequate, we get stingy; we hold on tight.
