Home / Opportunities / Only 4 days left: end-of-year campaign

This article is a repost of the emailing sent yesterday by Dechen Chöling Director, Konstanze Brockstedt, regarding the first End of Year fundraising campaign launched by our residential centre.

Dear Shambhala Friends,

I write to you to again ask for your support of our End of Year Fundraising Campaign. We have already raised the amazing amount of 23.360 Euros. Thank you for your support!

That means we are now only 1.640 Euros away from our goal! Please spread the word, so we can maximise the benefit of the potential matching gift of 25.000 Euros, generously offered to us by the European Donor Group. Any gift you make now will in fact be doubled as a result of this matching gift, so make sure to make your pledge by 31st December, 2018.

Even if you have donated already, please consider giving more if this is possible for you, so we can unlock the full matching gift of 25.000 EUR.  As a reminder, this is Dechen Chöling’s main opportunity to raise major funds, since we will no longer be included in the Shambhala Day fundraising. For more details on this new fundraising approach please click here.

If you wish to make a donation now, please click the button below.
In our previous email the link to our programmes calendar was not working, so we include it again: https://www.dechencholing.org/programs/all/

Early in the new year, we will update you about the outcome of this campaign.

With love from the Dechen Chöling staff,
Konstanze Brockstedt, Dechen Chöling Director

With the support of:
Veronika Bauer & Katrin Stelzel, Interim Managing Directors for Shambhala Europe
Lia Duggan, Campaign Coordinator, Dechen Chöling
Faradee Rudy, Development Director for Shambhala

Full information about the different ways to make donations, via cheques, transfers or online, and information about receiving tax-receipts for donations made in France can be found on our website.

How will my donation to Dechen Chöling be used?

– Operating costs shortfalls due to recent financial challenges
– Salaries for critical staff at a time when fewer staff are taking on even more responsibility
– Necessary renovation projects to properly maintain buildings and infrastructure
– Scholarships to keep our doors open to diverse groups of people
