Programme description
Karuna Training program is now accepting applicants for their two-year training cycle in Contemplative Psychology. The training curriculum is divided into five in-person retreats and draws from the wisdom tradition of Buddhist psychology and western, process oriented psychological approaches to healing.
It combines deep study of human condition in both its confused and sane qualities with the direct experience of these teachings in personal experience of body, emotion and mind, as well as in communication with others.
This training consists of meditation and contemplative practices, skills development, embodiment training, and ongoing group interaction and community support. Participants receive the necessary skills to work with methods of mindfulness and compassion in their personal and work life. After successful participation a certificate in Contemplative Psychology is given.
