We practice kyudo in the tradition of the Heki ryu Bishu Chikurin ha, following the lineage holders of the Shibata family.
In our practice, hitting the target is not the primary goal. Our practice tries to find the answer to the question of how you can hit the target with an open mind and heart, cutting ego. In this way, the target becomes a mirror of our physical, emotional and rational condition, making every single shot a personal and unique experience, and kyudo an everlasting path.
Starting this year the advanced students can arrive whenever they want, but in order to maintain group cohesion and help the beginners, it is strongly recommended that we stay until the end of the programme. If you would like to arrive later please leave a note in the comment field during registration.
Advanced practitioners are expected to bring their own equipment (yumi, ya’s and kake) and to have ample experience with sishido as well as hitote shooting. We will be practicing Shamen.
