Come practice meditation near Limoges, at the Shambhala center of Dechen Chöling.
A free day open to all, whether you are a beginner or an experienced meditator.

THEME OF THE DAY – JANUARY 5TH: Practices of Compassion and Opening the Heart, with Catherine Eveillard

Programme

The day alternates between meditation, teachings, and group discussions.

  • In the morning, for everyone, from 10:00 AM to 12:15 PM:
    Seated meditation practice, time for Q&A, walking meditation in the park of the castle.
    When possible, we welcome beginners in small groups for an introduction sessions to meditation .
  • In the afternoon, from 1:45 PM to 4:30 PM:
    Study program on the Buddhist and Shambhala approach, with exchanges and meditation.
    As in the morning, when possible, we organize two groups: one for beginners and one for those with an established meditation practice.

  • March 2: The Heart Sutra and the Nature of the Mind, with Catherine Eveillard

Lunch

You are warmly invited to have lunch at the centre, at the price of 14€. If you wish to have lunch with us, please register at least two days in advance at the link provided below.

Donations to the centre are also welcome.

Schedule: Arrive on Sunday morning at 9:45 AM for the 10:00 AM session start. 12:30 PM: optional group lunch (14€). Afternoon session resumes at 2:15 PM and ends at 5:00 PM.

Location: The Dechen Chöling center is located in Saint-Yrieix-sous-Aixe (Mas Marvent), 20 minutes from Limoges. See Google Map or attached local access map.

When we practice sitting quietly and following our breath, we enter into direct contact with our heart. By letting ourselves be just as we are, we begin to experience true friendliness towards ourselves.

We also offer a weekly meditation evening open to all on Friday nights from 8:00 PM to 9:00 PM (free of charge).
