This is a Shambhala retreat for Warrior Assembly Graduates and Werma practitioners. Its central focus will be the commentary by the Dorje Dradul for the text received at Warrior Assembly.

Join us for an opportunity to go further with the practices and study received at Warrior Assembly as well as refresh and deepen the Werma sadhana (for those who have already received it). The commentary by the Dorje Dradul for the text received at Warrior Assembly will be offered and studied for the first time in several years.

Description

We are offering a unique opportunity to deepen and connect with the Shambhala teachings of the Dorje Dradul by offering the study of the commentary to the Golden Sun of the Great East, “The Tiger Lion Garuda Dragon Glory”, also referred as the Autocommentary. This is being offered for the first time in many years, and this retreat will provide an auspicious occasion for discussion and contemplation of this provocative text as well deepening the practices that we have received.

Even if you haven’t done these practices for a long time, this retreat is an opportunity to reconnect. Ashe Lungta transmission will be offered for those who haven’t received it at their Warrior Assembly.

Your participation will also contribute to the strength of Dechen Choling, the Shambhala Community and the vision of a good human society. Let us celebrate these precious and profound teachings of the Dorje Dradul as well as strengthening our confidence in going forward in these challenging times.

Who can apply

This programme is open to all graduates of Warrior’s Assembly and all Werma practictioners.

Practical information

Arrival day: Wednesday, 3 July. You are invited to arrive at 4 pm to check in and settle into your room. Dinner is served at 7 pm.

End of programme: Thursday, 11 July. Closing circle and celebration in the evening.

Departure day: Friday, 12 July. No programme. You are welcome to stay for breakfast.

This programme is taught in English. Requests for interpretation in other languages must be made in advance and confirmed (please indicate your request for interpretation on the registration page).

Price information

Regular: this is the regular price for participating in the programme. Occasionaly (if specified in the programme description), there may be an additional fee for materials, to be paid upon arrival.
Patron: for those who can offer more than the regular price, your generosity in paying the Patron Price helps cover the costs for others who are not able to pay the full programme price and provides support to Dechen Chöling.
Under 30 years of age: 50% reduction on the regular programme price for persons under 30 years at the start of the programme.

Accommodation: the standard accommodation we provide is in a dormitory for the winter and a furnished two-person tent in the summer. Extra fees for room upgrades can be paid upon arrival. Additionally, room tax will be charged at 0.20 € per person, per night.
