Dominique Pagès
I have been a student of Trungpa Rinpoche since 1987, when I joined the developing Shambhala Paris group. I was involved first as an MI, staffing programmes, and later as a teacher, until 2002.
I completed the whole Shambhala curriculum up to Kalapa Assembly, which I ultimately did not attend at the last minute, as a major turning point in my life led me to India and Auroville, where I spent 17 years.
In 2020, awakened by the Covid pandemic, which kicked me out of my golden prison and brought me back to my country, I finally and happily rejoined my Shambhala tribe, resuming my journey of deepening my understanding of the Shambhala and Buddhist teachings. This experience has reinforced my appreciation and inspiration to further bring the Shambhala path to people, particularly in France.
I am involved in supporting Dechen Chöling as a member of the Board and, for the past year, as the GCC representative for France. In this role, I am striving to foster greater connectivity between centres and groups across the region, as well as to revive a French-language website offering accessible resources.
