James O’Neill

James O’Neill is a long term teacher in the Shambhala community. He has been a psychoanalytic psychotherapist since 1990 with a practice in London.

He is the author of UNDRESSING, a book that tells the intertwining story of his first patient, Abraham, and James’s own development as a therapist. It is scheduled to be made into a four part tv drama series. He is working on his second book tentatively titled A Matter Of Bodies. Both books narrate stories of individuals who have found their own way out of traumatic suffering, combined with expositions of western and Buddhist psychological ideas.

Both he and his life partner Peter Conradi have been practising and teaching Buddhist and Shambhala Dharma for many years. They are both members of the London Shambhala centre.
