The Path of Shambhala Training

“My main intention is to make the Shambhala Path available to the world, which is for everyone, women and men, without anyone having to commit to a particular religion or spirituality. The necessary commitment is to live our lives fully and correctly, that is, to lead our lives based on confidence, fearlessness and elegance…

Chögyam Trungpa, The Wisdom of Shambhala, Ed. du Seuil, 2002

How can we become dignified, honest and enlightened human beings?
How can we behave well in society, without projecting our neuroses onto others or ourselves?

According to the vision of Chögyam Trungpa, meditation master and founder of the Shambhala Training, the nature of reality and of all living beings is fundamentally good. This principle of fundamental goodness is the fulcrum that can change our orientation individually, socially and cosmologically.

The practice of meditation is about appreciating our own goodness, which enables us to appreciate reality, the earth, the rivers, the colours, other beings and everything else that makes up our world. This appreciation of what we have is the starting point for a rich and challenging inner journey. This is the invitation of this weekend.
