Dear Friends of Dechen Chöling,
We are writing to update you on the situation here at Dechen Chöling. We remain closed and have cancelled all programmes that were scheduled between now and 15th June 2020. We are continually monitoring the situation and will update you in the coming weeks on the likelihood that we must postpone or cancel further programmes.
In terms of what is happening here at Dechen Chöling, we have taken swift measures to try and protect our community and staff, and of course, the place itself. Almost all staff have been placed on temporary unemployment. There is a small group of staff who remain on the land and they remain in isolation here. We have completely closed down and secured some buildings to cut utilities costs and protect the centre.
As you can imagine, this global crisis means that we are in a very precarious financial situation and we are swiftly working to know exactly what we need to do to make it through the COVID-19 crisis. We will continue to update and share new information with you all.
We hope you are all supported and well in these uncertain times.
