How do we come to earth?

Sitting still and being with ourselves as we are on the spot, we begin to feel our body, touch the earth, and open to space. The powerful simplicity of sitting meditation cuts to the heart. This in essence is the practice of mahamudra.

How do we interact with our world?

Exploring the emotional realms that color our views of ourselves and others, we begin to see, hear, smell, taste, touch, and feel where our heart is stuck and where it is open. We make friends with both the stuckness and the openness, as everything is included in unconditional maitri or loving kindness. This is the magic of Maitri space awareness, a practice created by Chögyam Trungpa Rinpoche using different postures and colored spaces to tune into and free up the energies of our emotional world.

This ten-day retreat open to all will weave together mahamudra sitting, Maitri space awareness, outdoor walks, creative exercises, talks, discussion groups, and spontaneous happenings.
